Hey All:

Finally, the animation is complete. Here it is.

Beginning of my Animation

This is just the preliminary stages of my animation. Sorry for the poor video quality. It's from my phone.

Hey Blog: oh. I've missed you too. Thought I would write a bit about what I've been up to lately. Well, it's after spring break which means there's something like 6 weeks of school left (I'm not counting) and everything has to be due at that time. I've been focusing a lot on my website and self promotional piece. I will have pics of those soon. Additionally I have been working on my animations as well. I'm fixing my coffee animation to turn into fully vector which is tricky but fun to experiment with. I'll try to keep updating this as the days continue. Life is pretty busy and hectic these days!

Web Design

Here is a quick snapshot of what I'm working with on my current web design project. It's a lot of work but it is something I don't mind doing!

3.3.11

Website Mockup

It's really been awhile hasn't it? Well, to clue you in, I finished my mockup of my personal website today in class and while there may be some changes to it in the future, for the most part, it'll resemble this design in some way. What do you think?

Animation Character

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, but I am so busy these days! I did find time to work on my character (me) for my animation this semester tonight though. I think it came out pretty good! Next step is to complete a walk cycle.

Art Gallery

Hello Hello!
Well, I learned what it takes to hang an entire show in an Art Gallery today. (And that is said with much conviction.) My co-worker Tim is also in charge of the Art Gallery at our college and had to hang a show done by an artist/teacher who was part of the Art Dept and who passed away in June. There were a lot of pieces; fully stretched canvases in the shape of O's and typical paintings. The meticulous nature of getting all the nails lined up and the show arranged took all day. The lighting and tags we have to do tomorrow. Once done with that, I took the time to work on some website mockups for BlackRock Communication, a telecommunications company my good friend Bryan owns. They are looking great and will be done Monday for his approval. It is now 12:17am and I am ready to go home and go to bed. After all, the SuperBowl is tomorrow!!!! Go Packers!

3.2.11

I forgot to write today. So I am doing this from my iPhone! Today was busy, just like all the rest. It was productive though. I worked more on my personal identity. Thats about finished. Then I had a client meeting about logo colors which really turned into a full conversation and dialogue between my client and I. It was really nice getting to know her as a person and not stick entirely to business. After that, I came back to the CDS and worked more on the gratitude journal, changing the text and what not. It really is looking nice. Pretty close to being done there. Now it's time for bed and a full day or work and play tomorrow!

Personal Ensemble Day!

Not much time for blogging today...breaks my heart. But that is because I have been working on creating my personal identity system. It is coming out better than I could have imagined. I'm excited to see the whole series together.

My internship was amazing today as well. I got to sit in an actual client meeting and discuss design ideas and layouts for COPMOBA and the MOG Fest they put together annually. It was a busy day, but a great day indeed.

Me time...

I've been working constantly since 2:30pm and it is now 7:00pm. I need some ME time, which coincidentally is blog time. Tonight I have worked on two logos, one for the 4H Youth Organization (which I might have already mentioned in my previous posts) and the Happy Pet Initiative Logo. I just got done conducting color tests for the HPI logo and I think it's going to serve the organization's purpose. (They are a non-profit that supplies pet food to those who can't afford to buy it in these economic times.) Tina Marie, the lady in charge, is a wonderful client and has really been great to work with. Meeting tomorrow to finalize.

This was the 4H Logo I created used on a Save the Date announcement. I am currently making changes to it based on the client's requests. We'll see how it turns out.

Looks like I am done for the evening with the work I wanted to complete. Time to go work out and get some snacks for my house!

Part of the job..

Class today has been pretty eventFULL of extra assignments we're required to do. I have to now make changes to my old animation that I did last semester as part of my animation current class + create a new one + create a story reel + work on a faculty DVD. It is a ton of work...but it's part of the job. All I have to do is stay focused and know that in the end, I'll be done with each of them. I'm really looking forward to my new animation nonetheless. I'll post some ideas about that soon. Can't wait to go over to the office to work on all of this!

30.1.11

Always workin'!

Well, it's Sunday, and I've been in the office for about 5 hours now. Still a lot more work to go. So far, I've finished the older version of the Gratitude Journal for Suicide Prevention, a Save the Date, Announcement, and a ticket design for the 4-H Youth Development Organization. Now I'm starting on some personal logo sketches and mural sketches for Hamilton Recreation Center's Treasure Island babysitting room. Quite a day! But I never mind it.

The beginning of Graphic Design for me

Here are a few things I did in the beginning of Graphic Design school. Suffice it to say I have much improved. The first two are posters and the third image is a design I did of a shooting shirt for the WNBA Silver Stars.

I'm a bit backwards

Don't worry if you can't figure out how to navigate my blog. I'm a bit backwards in that I started it for animation class and now I want to add all kinds of work to it. I'll categorize them to the best of my ability. Just for you.

Here is what I have been working on today. I have been going through my old family pictures in order to get some of my dad for my next animation. I have yet to go through family videos. Dad took pictures and filmed everything he could. I have a lot of material to cover.

Secondly, I came into work and am finishing up a logo for a client. Happy Pet Initiative is a wonderful non-profit that helps supply food to individuals who may not be able to purchase their own pet food in these hard economic times. It is such a great organization.

And now I am working on revamping my blog so that I can keep people up to speed on my work. I figure now is as good a time as any since I'm graduating soon. I'll add things as I go.
